George Capes & Martha in Ottringham 1821

Also George Cape's birth 1770 Ottringham.

Hi Carol,

I found George Capes's baptism in Ottringham:

Jan 19 1770 George s/o Richard Capes

I also came across:

Mar 8 1767 Frances d/o Richard Capes

I didn't find the marriage circa 1821.

However, I'm still a bit iffy about him being 50 when he married (although I know it's more than possible!). Have you seen the IGI marriage in Aldbrough (less than 10 miles from Ottringham):

31 Jan 1804 George Capes and Martha Brigham.

Or am I barking up the wrong tree? (Woof!  Roll Eyes)

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this look up for me...This is so helpful...I am not too sure yet where he fits in but I believe the Aldborough marriage is more feasible....There are so many Georges in my line...one in every generation Undecided
It certainly looks like George and Francis are brother and sister doesn't it'
