Sorry that you've not had any helpful response - I've been watching.
I'm afraid I can't help either.

Question though....

I believe (no documentation yet) my 7xgreat grandmother was Katharine Innes c1686, wife of James Corner and mother of Katherine Corner b1717 in Sarclet. 

Do you think there may be a link between Katherine and John, albeit a couple of generations apart.

I have a Donald Innes born C1780 at Latheron. Could this be your line ? Have no other information on him other than he married in 1816 to Elizabeth Sutherland
