Am I the only one, but I have a bizarre problem with Ancestry.co.uk today?
I took advantage of the recent offer and purchased an annual Worldwide membership, but after a couple of successful searches of the UK BMD databases this morning, it has suddenly started diverting me to Ancestry.com which then says I need to purchase a new subscription.
This is a UK database and I have Worldwide membership to Ancestry.co.uk so why would I need another one?

If you have worldwide membership, you should be able to access all of Ancestry's sites, but the cookie which enables you to use Ancestry's UK site may not work on the US one, so you may have to log in again. Sometimes following certain links may take you to the US site. Quite often I will switch to the .com site when I'm researching American records because it then gives preference to US records.
If by any chance you are not able to sign in to Ancestry.com using your UK login, you need to take this up with Ancestry.

Thanks for the response Nick,
the problem seems to have gone away again now.
I did try to contact them but they said the message wouldn't be looked at until Monday and because it was so busy today, probably not until Tuesday (and all that from an apparently automated response).
I did think about just trying to login on Ancestry.com but wondered if it would think that I wanted to subscribe again and deduct more money, so decided against that.
And just as I was having so many problms on the other site, RootsChat decided it was too busy too and locked me out.

Yes, RC is very busy today
If you want a laugh, try going to the Chinese Ancestry site - very colourful ! You should be able to figure out what the buttons do because the layout is very similar
