Is some one able to look at  gravestone records from St
Andrew's Enfield for the surname Bumpstead?
I havea marriage record for Ann Bumpstead and Joseph Moore in 1810. Am keen to find family  members for Ann.

Hi Kamagi

Welcome to Rootschat.

Most people couldn't afford a gravestone or one of any lasting materials and many gravestones that did once exist have been badly eroded from this early a time. The burial registers for this church are likely to be deposited at the London Metropolitan Archives. They will give all the Bumpstead burials. The IGI has some coverage of the parish registers for marriages and baptisms but I suspect it is not complete.

Have you found out who Ann's parents were from the IGI indexes of St Andrew's baptism register or do you need to check the register itself? Does her marriage give any clues through witnesses to other members of her family?

Searching a churchyard for gravestones can be a time consuming activity. You might want to check with the London Westminster and Middlesex Family History Society as to whether they know if the churchyard's monumental inscriptions have been transcribed.
