McLew's of St Ninians
« on: Sunday 21 June 09 05:30 UTC (UK) »

Hi
Following a new branch that married in New Zealand
John McLew married Grace Brown NZ
brother RObert
Looks like I have found them in 1851 census, which is very hard image to read
Family
Moses McLew age 52 born?
Chaterine wife 37, born ?
children:
Robert 13, Ann 10, John 6  ??it says born Stirlingshire, Stirling. Does that make sense
Sorry completely out of research comfort zone here.

Anyone know this family? any connections
Many thanks
Althea in NZ  Grin

Update, Moses was married to Catherine McPherson who was born Killing, Perthshire.
Moses father was Robert McLew born Sterling about 1777 and his father was David McLEw born about 1757
