my grandmother was Gladys Lilian Hodgman of Ramsgate who married Frederick Walter Faulkner of London. Inever knew her but have traced back to Alfred Davis Hodgman born 1830.  Any info on her and her husband gratefully received.  many thanks

Faulkner  Gladys L  Hodgman  Thanet  2a 1623   

Births Dec 1927   
Faulkner  Nellie M  Hodgman  Thanet  2a 1548   

Births Dec 1928   
Faulkner  Frederick W  Hodgman  Thanet  2a 1587

I cannot find them in any Kelly's Directories so they may have moved on after Frederick was born.

The Hodgmans you quote are all Faulkners!  Their mother was Gladys Lilian Hodgman who married Frederick William Faulkner in 1924 (my paternal grandparents). The younger Gladys Lilian was known as Lil and Nellie Mabel was known as Mabel.  My Dad was Fred. All now dead, sadly.  There were 3 other children, one of whom was stillborn.  

I believe the older Gladys' father was Walter George Hodgman, who's father was Alfred D Hodgman and mother was Alice Foat.  I see your name is Foad - is that the same as Foat?  It would be great if you were a long lost relation and could share your tree with me.

Sorry to say Foat and Foad are two different surnames. Foad's were in Kent pre reformation.
Sorry I cannot help with anything on Gladys but can send census for her father is you need them
