Hi to one and all, Is there anyone out there who is related to or knows about Robert Flood who was married to Phebe Leech, they were the parents of James ( my g.g.g. grandfather) he was born June 1803 in Ashill and married Maria Robert Flood was born abt 1775 +/- 5yrs or so, William Woodcock born abt 1796 Watton, he was married to an Ann. Ahill, Watton and surrounding area seems to be where my family originate, is there anyone out there who has info about these people/name or even better, is related and hopefully has traced further back in time than I.

Hi to ALL
Martha Margerson married John Cator about 1800 in the Ashill area, it is possible she came from Watton.
Can any one add to this. It must be noted that the spelling for Margerson may sometimes read as margetson

Thanks Yokel William Woodcock was married to an ANN Hobbs (Hobs - spellings differ due to transcribers etc) ANN was from March CAMBS. HOBBS found on her daughters birth cert.
Thanks for the NFHS marriage index link, I may have to give serious thought to purchasing it, it's not a bad price.
To those who are interested. John Cater & Maria Margerson had two boys ( that I have found) They were Charles born 1803 and George born 8 march 1809

Hi "Blue-Spirit" Thank you very much this IS my family, I'll print it out when I get a new colour cart'. A bit of info for anyone interested. James age is WRONG, I managed some time ago to make a brief one off visit to NRO and found in the Ashill parish details for St Nicholas church, that he was born 26 June 1803 and baptised 04 July 1803. So he was actually only 74 and not 77 as inscribed on grave. His real age may not have been known by the person who informed the authorities of his death, do WE always know the age of our neighbour?
Thank you for the Robert info, I have every reason to believe that this is James & Maria's son and if so, he was born in Saham Toney. I have not been able to find his baptism/wedding details as of yet but I do know that Saham Toney is a very short distance away from Ashill Can anyone tell me if the Parish "clark" John Flood was related or not. MY Floods seem to have moved into the area about 1800 or just before James' parents married March 1800 in Ashill but i can't find them before that.
Thanks again for photo, this sort of help is brill' . this sort of post is something that should happen more often
John

Hi thanks for 2nd photo, it's good of you, however the earlier photo ( James & Maria ) seems to have disappeared.
The 2 photos were/are great, but on the off chance you are near (Ashill) and able to tell, is there by any chance a grave for an Ann Flood dead in 1871 aged about 67?
I know it's a reach but I can live in hope, can't I?
John

Hi John. Ashill is just up the road from me, I recorded all readable graves a few yrs ago as i have for many Norfolk church yds, i cannot find any other grave to FLOOD in my files at Ashill, and as far in any other church yds in my list. thats not to say there is not one there, but its not in my list which is only for readable graves. I removed the images because i thought you might have already copied them, i will PM the images for you to copy...
regards.

Hi Tony.
My apologies for the delay in the reply. Yes thank you, I was able to save the grave images. It was very kind of you to have spent the time and effort to have found them and then to have sent them to me.
Regards
John
