Hi Im looking for any information on Jeanie McDonald, Other Names Steven
Mothers Maiden name White

Jeanie McDonald Died 1994 age 78, Barrhead East renfrewshire

The death notice in the Barrhead News 3rd February 1994 reads:-

"STEVEN - Peacefully at Norwood House Nursing Home on Tuesday 18th January 1994, Jeanie McDonald, beloved wife of the late Robert Steven."

Sorry it doesn't give any other information.

Is there any way of finding a death notice for Robert Steven in the Barrhead news?

Iv searched SP for a Marriage but no matches, There are lots of death entries for Robert Steven
and was wondering if there was a way i could narrow it down?

Hi there - I will answer that with a question - do you know if Jeanie McDonald Steven was buried in Barrhead? If she was buried in Neilston or St Convals, it might be an easier to find Robert Steven that way. Unfortuntately I work during the day, so I can't pop along to the Registrars and ask them to check stuff.

What I will try and do is go to Barrhead Library at the weekend and check the years from Scotlands People for deaths of Robert Steven in Renfrewshire - if you follow me.

Did they have any children or other relatives in Barrhead?

I'm not sure if she was burried there.  The thing is i'm actually looking for the death of a Jean Mcdonald. Mothers maiden name White.
I searched SP and found 3 matches throughout scotland,

and the best match was Jeanie Mcdonald, mothers maiden name White, other names Steven , Died 1994  Barrhead /east renfrewshire.
However ther isnt an image available or id have been able to check the parents names.

I was hoping by posting on here id maybe find more about the Death entry i found on Sp and matched it up that way.

I dont actually know the names of her children.  Her father was John Mcdonald.
Mother was Jean White.
Brother John Mcdonald born 1915 died 1940 Stirling
Sister Betsy Mcdonald.

Hi Sarah

I see from another post you have made that Jean White died in 1956. Do you know who signed her death certificate? I am assuming that the mother of the person you are looking for is the death on SP in Dunfermline in 1956, aged 58?? I don't wish to buy more SP credits if you have already accessed the record.

yes thats Jeanie's mother Jean White who died in Dunfermline.
I have opened the image allready.
