hello,i was wondering if anyone with knowledge of baptisms in the thanet area of kent can give me any marriages for these:jemima spain born 1841,frances born 1840,ann born 1830,ann born 1807,susannah born 1789,sarah born 1788 and mary born 1786.many thanks,nel.

Have you looked at FreeBMD?
Jemima Spain marriages in 1882 Canterbury and 1862 Strand London. 1862 one to either Richard West or Henry Lord
I'll look in 1871 and see if she links back to yours or not

Yes you did say Thanet but if you could be more precise ie. Margate or Ramsgate etc. if you have them on a census or baptisms then we may be able to help you find them .................

Sorry Casulguidi,
Mary baptised 06/08/1786.
Sarah baptised 20/07/1788.
Susannah baptised 10/01/1790.
Ann baptised 28/06/1807.
All in Margate.There brothers John and Stephen were baptised Parish Church Margate St John,so i presume they were the same place.
I also have a brother Henry baptised 04/08/1805,im not sure what happened to him,i dont have a marriage or death for him.
Stephen baptised 02/08/1801 married Sophia Mumford around 1820,but i forgot to note the exact date when i was first given the info,so if you can find that id be grateful.
Im also very keen to find any possible marriages or deaths for the women,
For the later ones i have Ann born 1830 Kent,
Frances(female) born 1840 kent
Jemima born 1841 Ramsgate,
They had a sister Sophia born 1821 Thanet and brother William born 1834 Ramsgate,according to later census.
I have no marriages or deaths for these three women.
The large gaps make me wonder if there were more siblings,they are all children of Stephen and Sophia.

Stephen SPAIN, 40
Sophia, 40
Ann, 11
William, 9
Frances, 1
1851 has William now 17, Jemima 10 and new child Eliza 7
Is it possible the Jemima on 1851 Census is actually Frances from 1841?
Birth reg ;
Jemima Frances SPAIN
December 1840, Thanet, Kent
If this is correct she could have married under Frances or Jemima

Tree has Sophia SPAIN born 1823, Ramsgate and marrying Richard DARBY. No marriage date but lots of children. There are no census refs, so will see what I can find. Second child is Pleasant Darby born 1841.

many thanks for all that.
I have some of the Darby and Mumford stuff,but didnt have the marriage for Ann Spain,it looks like its William Doughty.
Also,the death of Pleasant Mumford i didnt have.
Im not sure if Frances and Jemima are the same person but i cant find a marriage for either of them.
