I am looking for the marriages for 3 male GOSDEN s´born in Chertsey between 1820 and 1835.

I have found the following marriages on:  www.freebmd.org 

A) George GOSDEN born ca 1822, married 2q 1838 Chertsey 4 19 

1) Mary DOWNS   OR
2) Rebekah HILL  OR
3) Catherine TRIGGE


B) Edward GOSDEN born ca 1827  AND
C) Thomas GOSDEN born ca 1830

married 4q 1851 Chertsey 4 85

1) Emma BRIANT  OR
2) Eliza FRITH      OR
3) Ann SIVILL      OR
4) Catherine TYRELL

I have not found any more in the censuses. Can anybody help me further?

Thought her name was Ann   Undecided

I can't see George at all -  looked 1841,  1851  and 1861  Undecided

So he was  Smiley    That doesn't come up on Ancestry - found it on FMP  Wink

So -  it doesn't seem to have been him that married in 1838, then, because the names you had as his possible wife are not there in 1841  Undecided    Unless of course she died in between  Cry    He would have been only 16 in 1838  Undecided


Edward died age 60 Q4. 1887 Chertsey.
In 1891 Eliza - now saying born Stanwell again - was  a housekeeper in Chertsey.

Thomas and Ann in 1891 are still in Chertsey and just the two of them home.

In 1901 Thomas is a widower, his daughter Caroline (unmarried) is living with him.
Ann died aged 78  in Q3. 1898

Thomas died aged 77 in Q4. 1907

I still can't see George after 1841  Undecided

It would explain why he doesn't seem to appear on any census after 1841  Undecided
