hello,im trying to find out who john bing b1841 ramsgate went on to marry.on the 1881 hes married to charlotte Huh born 1845 ramsgate.theres a marriage j/a/s 1861 thanet 2a ?62.it could be 8 or 9.there are two corresponding charlottes,a crouch and an oclee.theres a charlotte oclee b1844 and charlotte crouch b1840 on earlier census.id be grateful on an opinion on the likeliest,thanks,nel.

  IGI has a member submission for the marriage that also gives their ages..

  John Bing  age21
Charlotte Oclee age 19   married 8 Sept 1861 Ramsgate.

Sorry to be a killjoy but it doesn't really confirm it as it is a member submitted record and someone could have leapt on it with glee as you have!   You really need to look at the original register or get the certificate which would give the fathers' names too.  It would be awful to go off on the wrong line.  Perhaps one way to prove it might be to follow the other couple through the census and see if there is any proof of her surname there such as an aged relative with them.

You may well have sorted this by now but, if not, Charlotte OCLEE can be confirmed as his wife via the Kent Registration Services site - they have the same ref. number (only one per couple) http://extranet3.kent.gov.uk/sp/rois/home.html
