hello folks..
please could someone take a look at the 1871 census for a mary ann wilkinson born around 1849.. i have found her after she married oliver smith in the dec of 1871, but nothing before. mary was born in basford area, of nottingham
her father was called john wilkinson,
thanks to anyone that can help

theres a couple of candidates in the Basford Regn District in 1871, 3 or 4 back in 1851 - only one with a father John, but she's a bit older c1847 - born and still living in Cossall .....
Is her husband in 1881 called Elias Oliver Smith ?
If so she just says 'Nottingham' as a PoB ?
What was her Father's occupation ?

the father was a joiner..
i have the marriage certificate of elias oliver smith and mary ann wilkinson but it only gives the address as basford.

I see in 1891 Oliver has changed to Lace Manufacturing, but Mary A now says her PoB is Watnall ?

Oh right, you knew - but the Marriage Cert is just the addresses where the individuals lived when they got married ...

in the 1911 census it states that mary was born in watnall, same as the 1891 census..
and elias oliver was born in draycott now... hhhmmmm strange
on the marriage certificate it shows mary as one year older than elias, and in the 1911 census it shows there is a 5 year difference between their ages...

Pretty sure it is, given that the Enumerators page highlights Watnall as part of Greasley
