did thomas Pope marry Ellen Osborne. their 1st son was born in Wollaston in 1886 his name  was Thomas Henry Pope. My great grandmother Sarah Pope was born in 1894 21 High Street Wollaston with Thomas Pope being a photographer.

There is a 1885 Marriage which has both parties same Ref no's

Marriages Sep 1885 Isle of Wight, (in Hampshire I assume)

Am I correct in thinking that you have the birth certificate for your g.grandmother Sarah Pope stating mother Ellen Osbourne
father Thomas Pope occupation photographer?

The only Thomas Pope - photographer-wife Ellen that I can find in 1891    +   1901 census was born c.1840 at Cheltenham Gloucs.

Yes my great grandmother did live with the Eggetons. for some reason she was abandoned and her mother Ellen took her other children with her. On the 1901 and 1911 census her father Thomas is not living with her.

Can you give the details of Ellen +other children in 1901 census?

I thought I'd found Sarah at Martley Worcs from a basic search of the 1911 cens.

Sarah was in service in Martley. In 1901 census Ellens occupation is a charwoman. In 1911 census she is living in Stamberhill. I had her father as Thomas Pope born in Marylebone in 1957.

Have found Ellen in 1901 - states she is a widow. (with son Harry age 15)

There's a death at Stourbridge for a Thomas Pope Sept qtr 1898 age 46

Having trouble locating them in 1891.
