Hi all,
I am trying to find some information on Benjamin Whitehead born abt 1850 at Castleton Lancashire Benjamin was the son of Adam Whitehead and Eliza Adam was born at Butterworth Lancashire in abt 1824. On the 1861 cens they were living at Cherry hall Castleton without, Rochdale and had eight children, what I am trying to find out is who did Benjamin Whitehead marry and when ?and can he be found on the 1871 cens.

If your Ben. was born c 1824 as you saying that you have him in 1861 census, living with his parents and unmarried? aged c 37?

Hi,
There is a death registered for a Benjamin Whitehead aged 17 in 1868 Rochdale and Lancashirebmd has the sub district as Castleton Further. As he was 11 in the 1861 census I suspect this is your Benjamin. Your Benjamin does not appear in any further census as far as I can see and father Adam and family were still living in Castleton in 1871.
