COMPLETED 1881 (and beyond) lookup request
« on: Thursday 25 June 09 13:37 BST (UK) »

I am hoping someone can help me to find a relative in the 1881 (and beyond) Scottish census.
His name is David Tod. He was born in 1843 at St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh.
He was a druggist/chemist.
I have traced him as far as 1871 when he is still living at home with his parents in Edinburgh, aged 27. After that he is no longer with his parents.
Hoping someone can find him for me and ascertain if he married.
Thank you.
Chris.

On ancestry trees he is david moore tod, son of john tod and isabella moore, does that sound right?

Yes that's him.
I noticed there were two people who had David as a research interest.
I'd love to contact them and see where they fit in but without a subscription I cannot get their contact details!!!
I've found David as far as 1871 but once he left home I cannot locate him.

I have told them about your interest, it,s now up to them if they want to get in touch with you or me.

David,s brothers and sisters are listed if you dont already have them, and he is on the 1861 census but I cant find him after 1871, there are a couple of David Tods in England after that date?
