Hello merjones and shellyesq,
Thank you so much for all the info. Since Maggie Ellen is listed in the 1926 Minot City Directory she must have died between 1826 and 1930. City directories are great.
The IGI Individual Record for Jacob A Piper Birth: 2 Sep 1902 Death: 23 May 1974 Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine Parents: Sherman F and Maggie E Piper His Family Group Record shows his wife as Minnie Reta Anttisdr. Pulkinen Marriage: 25 Aug 1934, Minot, Androscoggin, Maine
Minnie's Birth: 26 mar 1915, Harrison, Cumberland, Maine Minnie's Death: 28 Oct 1975 Mechanic Falls, Androscoggin, Maine
Children George Piper Birth: 14 Mar 1947 Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine Death 04 Mar 2000 Belfast, Waldo, Maine
Jacob A Piper must have married twice. I wonder where Marguerita went. She would have been about 19 in the 1930 census but is not living in the household of her father Sherman Piper.
Thank You, Electron

I found these articles that seem to mention your Pipers:
Portland Sunday Telegram And Sunday Press Herald, 2 Jan. 1949 Edmund C. Piper of Minot was sworn in as an Androscoggin County Officer. He was noted to be a deputy in his community.
Daily Kennebec Journal, 4 Oct. 1918 A verdict in a $10,000 damage case of Sherman Piper vs. the town of Minot was found for the defendant.

Hello shellyesq,
Thanks so much for the newspaper clips. Those are the sorts of things that help bring life to a history. I have found Marguerite L Piper. She married H. K. Wilcox of Auburn, Maine on 18 Oct 1930. I went back to the IGI and found a first marriage for Sherman F. Piper of Minot, Androscoggin, Maine. He married Nellie N Pratt on 22 Apr 1887. They divorced 8 Febuary 1893. I don't know if they had children.
Thanks, Electron
