Baxendale Wedding in Chorley.

IGI info:
William Baxendale and Jane Blackburn married in Chorley 28th March 1776.  As far as i know the Parish registers for St. Laurence church in Chorley have been badly damaged and illegible. Is it possible someone could look at the Bishops Transcripts and see if there any parents for William and Jane ?

I have emailed a couple of peeps on Ancestry who also have this information but as yet have not had a reply back. 

Any help would be much appreciated.

You mean they married in 1796 not 1776  Roll Eyes

If you take a look at LOPC you will find the marriage and so you could also look at the baptisms to see what info they proffer.  Hope this helps. R.   Smiley

Fathers names were not shown on marriage entries prior to 1.7.1837.  Mothers names are never shown

Jane was from Standish according to the transcript and William from Chorley

The transcript on the Lancs OPC website gives all available info

www.lan-opc.org.uk  They appear to have had 9 children born between July 1796 and December 1817
