Lost again!
« on: Thursday 25 June 09 01:46 UTC (UK) »

Hi guys

I was given by you kind people a list of Tew's from Leire and burials.  There was an Anne Tew who died as infant 1825, buried St Peter's Parish.   On the I.G.I Anne Tew was baptised 28 Oct 1825 (batch no co27604) Problem is only mother's name is given as Anne no father and I am totally lost on where these two Ann's fit into my Tew family.
Mike are you out there to help again, or anyone who has their hot hands on these records would be so greatful.

Cheers

Suzy, Are you saying these two events- baptism and burial relate to the same person, Anne Tew?

If there is no father's name given on baptism reg. it is usually a sign that the baby was illegitmate.  Does this fit with what you know or suspect?

That is going to make life hard.  I have two Ann's born 1806 and 1808 another 1789 which put them at the right age for having a child, and no marriage for them.
No wonder I can not find where this child belongs.

Regards

The fact the child died means you have no way of cross referncing mother and child by a census...  Cry
Don't see how you are going to get a lead on this one...
