brick wall on all sides
« on: Thursday 17 September 09 17:32 UTC (UK) »

Hello again
As i said before I am looking into my husband family tree and the  Grt Grandparents on all sides come from Co Down
Hugh Fleming from  1858 Kilbourn
Mary Butler 1842 Stangford
Henry Savage from Castlewellan
Samuel Stewart    1841 from Bangor
We think they came over around the mid 1860's
I know that Hugh Fleming went to America at some point because on the 1901 census it has 2 children being born in Nebraska  1885   and 1887  then they must go back to Ireland as 2 children are born there 1888 and 1889  then they come to Cumbria and have 3 more ,
Can any one put me on the right track please  I feel like I am going round in circles .All his grandparents died before he was born so he doesn't have anyone to ask the questions
We didn't even know we would get this far but now we have hit a brick wall on all sides
Thanks for taking the time to read this

To save on confusion and duplication please see the following thread on Savage and post replies for that family there-
Looking for Savages
