As your old directories will have told you, 4 Market Place was occupied by Ward and Story (Grocers) in the 1894 directory.

Hi Bob and Goeffe

It seems strange.  My maps seem edxactly as you've found.  But all the books and phot's I've seen call this Glover's Row, but the maps and directories either have no name or call it Green Market.

I can only think that Glovers Row was a much older name still used by word of mouth but not officially by the time directores and maps were produced.

Thank you for all the input.

It's fascinationg.
