I am trying to find out when my g grandparents died. They were in Hamworthy on the 1901 census and family lore says they didn't agree to my grandparents marriage in 1928 so they were still alive and in Dorset then. Arthur Baines was a mariner born about 1872 and Elizabeth Baines (nee Flipping) was born about 1875. Many thanks

On Free BMD there is an Elizabeth A Baines, September quarter 1933 Portsmouth aged 55 - that's the only one in Dorset I can see. Couldn't find Arthur, sorry.
Best wishes emberry

Hi
Thanks for your help. I've checked and this Elizabeth Baines isn't my great grandmother. I'll keep searching. Kind regards Jo

Hi Paco Many thanks for the information you have found. I have just found out that my great grandparents are buried in Poole Cemetery. I think Elizabeth Baines outlived Arthur. I'll have to keep searching for her date of death. Thanks again Jo
