Daniel BLICK « on: Friday 26 June 09 10:26 BST (UK) »
Hello,
My gggg grandmother's brother, Daniel Blick, was baptised at Fingest on 19 December 1802, the son of Zachariah and Mary Blike (sic), nee Davis. But I don't know what to do regarding his death: a Daniel Blick was buried at Fingest on September 23, 1810, three days after a Robert Blick. Robert Blick was my gggggg grandfather. But there is a marriage on 05 May 1827 at West Wycombe between a Daniel Blick and a Rebecca Plumridge. I have traced them through the censuses and he said he was born at Great Marlow in 1803 - which fits as the Blicks did live at Great Marlow according to the Fingest Parish Registers. Daniel Blick died in Aylesbury Registration district in Sept qtr 1864. Rebecca died in Wycombe in 1867, aged 63 years.
Without buying a certificate, is there any way of finding out which Daniel is my Daniel?
Matt

Hello Matt
Can't say whether or not he is yours but I can say that the Daniel BLICK whose death is registered in Aylesbury Registration District Sep Qtr 1864 died on 14 July 1864 at the County Lunatic Asylum, Stone, near Aylesbury. He was admitted to the Asylum on 11 December 1861 and belonged to the Wycombe Union. This information comes from a List of Male Patients giving dates of admission and discharge or death 1853-1902 (Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies Ref: H1/6/1).
The Archives at the Centre have many records relating the the Asylum and you should be able to find more information about this Daniel from them. Please be aware that some of the records are subject to a closure period owing to their sensitive nature but Daniel's records should be available.
