Albyn Place continues from the end of Queen Street at the Charlotte Square end. It is in the New Town and a very nice, expensive place to be!
If you go on Google Maps and enter "10 albyn place edinburgh", then click on the "streetmap" link it will show you the building.

The 1904 Edinburgh & Leith Post Office Directory shows that 10 Albyn Place was then the offices of a firm of solicitors - Messrs Simpson & Lawson.

It is the same building. The New Town was built over 100 years before that, and it has not changed a great deal. Albyn place is on some pretty old maps.

It was Listed in 1970. According to that listing it was designed in 1822. http://hsewsf.sedsh.gov.uk/hslive/hsstart?P_HBNUM=28234

HI, Something in my mind tells me this address may have been asscoiated with a Thomas Fraser. Does it ring any bells with you. I will have a search and see what I can find Ian

Hi Ian,
I think you are referring to the Albyn Place in Aberdeen. There is a yellow plaque there at 16 Albyn Place to a Thomas Fraser 1872-1951.

Hope this helps

That's the one Kirsty. My great aunt was his stepmother.
