Thank you,

Honor is sometimes transcribed as Hannah, and i've found a death for a Hannah Long. They married in the first quarter of 1857 and the death was in the last quarter, so it is viable. may explain why I cant find them on the 1861 census.

I'd found that Harry on the 1901, living with the Peacocks and thought it was possibly the Harry I was lookin for

Hi Danielle

I would think that the death you have for Hannah Long December qtr 1857 Downham is more likely to be the Hannah Long that was born the same quarter Downham reg district. (as per freebmd)

It's really strange as I can't find Frank or Honor/Hannah Long anywhere after their marriage. You would think they'd still be around in 1861.

Hi

I've come across a snag with one of my family members was hoping someone could help me clear it up.

George Missen b. 1816 married Mary Tweed in 1834 and had children, ann b. 1842, Ellen b. 1853, Harriet b. 1862 and Rebecca b. 1864 but the snag is I think I've found a marriage for George Missen and a Mary Sheldrick in 1849. Cant find a viable death for the first Mary so dont think she died and I cant find a 1841 census entry for either George or Mary.

I'm now questioning the maternal side of the children but because they both are called Mary, I'm so confused!!!!!!!! Huh

Hi Danielle

I was suprised that it took them so long to start having children as they were married in 1834.

Don't know about two marriages for George, always a difficult one without buying birth certs for children. There is a marriage for a George Missen and a Mary Wakeling in 1849 as per CAMDEX, registered Chesterton I think. Didn't find any other matches between 1841 and 1861 with Miss* as a surname.

Thats the exact reason my curiosity was pricked, was wondering why it took so long too and also the gaps between them are quite wide

I found a birth of a Ephraim in 1836 and in 1851 he was living with grandparents Jeremiah and Elizabeth Tweed and have found 4 more missen births with parents george and mary but cant prove they are any relation.
