Hi Denzah,

A very warm welcome to Rootschat.

There is an old B/W postcard type photo on www.cottontown.org  .  Click on the A to Z  and then scroll down to Cathedral.   It is sometimes quite slow to load the pages, so be patient.

Regards,

Hi,

Have you tried Ebay, you can usally find postcards on sale of most Churches/Catherdrals.

Or try the Francis Frith website type in 'Blackburn cathedral' and they a few pictures to view or purchase.

I found mine there, a small village church, have never found a book yet that holds a picture of it.

Give it go!!

Thanks Mo & Cancan for the quick replies and pointers to help with my query.

I did a bit more searching and found what I think (& hope!) is a photo of the church, it is located at the following link:
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/Blackburn/StMaryCathedral.shtml

It's a beautiful photo of the Cathedral, located in Cathedral Close, Blackburn - do you think this is the old St Mary's Church and now Blackburn Cathedral?

Thanks, Denzah

Hi,

Yes it is the same church although the bit at the back is a 20th century addition.
