Hi Jackie,
Thanks for your reply.
I have two brothers, Joseph my 3 x Grandfather and his brother Henry, they moved to Staffs from Wotton Under Edge in Gloucestershire, sometime in the 1850s.
Joseph and his wife Louisa Coote Foxwell had 5 children there.
Ellen Louisa Walsall 1857 Joseph Richard sometimes Richard Joseph, Court Dale Street, Wednesbury, Sep 1859 Julia J Walsall 1862 Charles West Brom 1864 Joseph Wednesbury 1866
Henry and his wife Sarah had:-
John Thomas 1865 Walsall Catharine 1867 Walsall
They were all back in Wotton Under Edge in 1871
My problem is that there is a third Joseph Foxwell born in Walsall abt 1863 and living with his grandmother in Wotton Under Edge. They are together in the census in 1871 and 1881. She only had the two sons Joseph and Henry and I cannot work out who his parents could have been.
Any suggestions very welcome.
Thanks,
Elin
