Victor Langbein 1891 census?
« on: Friday 25 September 09 14:56 UTC (UK) »

Victor Radcliffe Langbein married Frances New in 1902. I have found them in 1911 at Southville Road, Wandsworth.

In trying to trace Victor's past I have found him in 1901 (age 29) with his mother Maria (55) and brother Oscar (32) at 77 Studley Road, Lambeth. Both 1911 & 1901 show his birthplace as South Lambeth.

Can anyone see them on 1891 or 1881 census as I have tried variations on fmp but they do not seem to be listed?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Although apparently they weren't actually married until Sep 1872 (Wandsworth district), Wenzel and Marie are shown as husband and wife in 1871:

1871
RG10/142 14 29
St James Westminster
Berwick St 74

Wenzal Langbein, head, 25, Aquariun Maker, b. Bohemia
Marie, wife, 21, b. France Loraine
Wenzal, son, 11, b. St James Westminster
Mary A Willian, mother in law, wid, 49, b. France Loraine

The age of the son should be 11 months, obviously, and mum in law Vuillaume.

birth Wenzel Langbein
Jun 1870 St James Westminster 1a 435

Thank you for your help. On fmp they are down as Langbrin in 1881 and Lamgbein in 1891. As for the m-in-law, the poor woman is down as Villianne in 1881 and Villarino in 1891, and you've revealed, Tati, that she is down as Vuillaume in 1871!
