Date required - Mitchell Family photograph

Mitchell Family - photo probably taken in Fahan, Donegal, Ireland. Any suggestions as to the date of this photograph, please. I thought about 1901 but thought the hat of the "unknown" lady on the left might give a clue.   Beth

Just bumping this one up the list in the hope that a dating expert will have a look at it.  It would help if you put a request for a date in the subject, Beth, that way the daters are more likely to look at it.

Not sure if you know but here's some info  Undecided

Just above your photo on right handside is a modify box, if you click that it will bring up your message box. Just change your subject line to 'date required' and click save.

Hopefully one of the daters will then see it.  Smiley  Smiley

Agree with China's dates.The lady at the back right is wearing a wedding ring
which might narrow it down also the man at the back bears a strong resemblance
to the boy at the front,a brother perhaps?

Difficult to tell.  My first reaction was black Labrador but you might be right.  Damage to that corner of the photo makes it difficult to see length of fur.

Thanks so much for the dating and comments. I hadn't noticed the ring. Anne was my grandmother's older sister. Anne married in 1912, aged 29. Wonder if that is an engagement ring! Either a very long engagement or perhaps there was an previous engagement when Anne was in her early twenties.

In 1911 Donegal Census Anne was at home in Fahan aged 27 and single. I don't know anything about the dog - wish I had listened more to my grandmother and great aunts.   Beth
