I am trying to find Frederick Chivers born in Frome Somerset in 1845, I can not find him in the 1851, 1861 census records. I know that in the 1881, 91, 1901 census he is in Ystradyfodwg Glamorgan married to Catherine.But where is he in 51,61?
I am trying to trace his parents.
any suggestions welcome

Your best bet if no one can find him in the census returns is to get his birth certificate..

another option would be to get his Marriage Cert - should show his Father's name ...

Chivers Frederick Pontypridd vol 11a Page 599 to DEMSEY Catherine
it could be that his mother remarried before 1851 and he's on the census with his step fathers name .....
