Hi,
I'm looking for Harland Skinner, born in 1856 (march 1/4) in Peckham.
On the 1891 he is married to Mary Bertha Bannister and a fruiter and on the 1901 he is still married to Mary and living on his own means.
Mary and Harland married in Dec 1/4 1882 in Camberwell.
I have searched the previous censuses and cannot find any trace of Harland.
Buying his birth cert would obviously be the next step but this is a colleagues family and I cannot order the cert without her say so.
Harland is quite an unusual 1st name so I tought he'd be easy to find!!!

Hehe - he's a mineral water manufacturer, and I thought that was a relatively new profession!
Have looked at the original - could be Harlan, harlow, Arlan any number of things! Doesn't look a great deal like Skinner either!!!!
