Hi

Their son was b 1840 so a copy of his birth cert will give Elizabeth's maiden name.  They were living in the reg district of St Ives in 1841

You have a choice. But given that the first daughter seems to have been born in Somersham c1836, the 1835 marriage below looks to be favourite

1835 at St Ives. William Gifford of Somersham and Elizabeth Skeeles
1837 at St Ives William Gifford widower of Hemingford Gray and Elizabeth Eve Watson

In 1841 living at Bridge St, St Ives were
Frances Townshend 44 Ind
William Gifford 25 saddler
Elizabeth Gifford 25
Ellen Gifford 5
Elizabeth Gifford 3
William Gifford 1
John Berlow 15 apprentice
Thomas Skeeles Butcher 20
All except Frances born in Hunts

I think the presence of Thomas Skeeles adds more weight to it being the 1835 marriage
