George Mortimer Brown

I am seeking to find information about a George Mortimer Brown born at upper Treginnis in 1875 and was there in the 1881 census.  His parents were George Brown and Catherine Mortimer and he emigrated to the US.  I am trying to see if he was in Wales circa 1897.

He lived in New York from 1907 onwards and married an Irish girl called Mary Ellie McNamara.

I have been aided by the US forum and he has been located in the US from 1894.  I cannot find him on the welsh 1891 census and he is not at the family home - any tips would be appreciated.
