Thrushes, starlings, sparrows, blackbirds, ring doves, collared doves, magpies, blue tits, great tits, robins, wrens, sparrowhawk (once), the odd buzzard overhead and owls heard but not seen.  If you regard mid Staffordshire as the Midlands  Grin

And aspidistras flower at ground level in this country too - small, boring browny purple things, but slugs tend not to get near them to pollinate them in indoor pots

Hi Xin,

You must have seen me coming,  yep we get a thrush now and again, there are not as many about as there were though! have a blackbird nesting in my wisteria too   Cool

We also get woodpeckers all three kinds, and lots of long tailed tits, Red kites, doves and all the other stuff like 'sparrers' and so on. including a sparrow hawk who persists in catching my sparrows!  Well he has to make a living doesn't he, wish he wouldn't do it at lunch time though!

This picture is quite a challenge init!

Well with the weather we have at the moment.... if I dont get up early it is so quite in my garden...wouldnt know there where such things as birds.....
