Hi Heathers ,
Maybe someone can look up the marriage but usually we all just buy the cert if it is after 1837 civil reg.
This is the possible marriage of Charles parents;
Charles HORSMAN Sarah HANDS 16 December 1823, Radford Semele, Warwickshire
There is a submitted record for Charles jnrs baptism; 23 December 1825, Snitterfield, parents Charles and Sarah
Also checked for extracted and they are all there under Horseman/Horsman if you search for Edward born 1828, Snitterfield.

I don't think there was/is a church in Keresley so maybe the marriage was at Foleshill or Exhall. There is an Online Parish Clerk for those places on http://www.hunimex.com/warwick/opc/opc.html who should be able to help you

Must admit that came as a surprise to me. I can find no mention of it in the Foleshill District and in Coventry it is listed as a district so a bit more research is forthcoming when I get some time

St Thomas Keresley is the parish Church on Tamworth Road, Coventry but Coundon (also part of Coventry) is adjacent to Keresley Village so perhaps the family lived there. My ancestors lived in Brownshill Green, part of Allesley but the Church they used was St Thomas, Keresley. All these places only a mile or two apart. As regards the union I think perhaps it could be Foleshill but more likely this area of Coventry could be in Meriden Union. Most unlikely the baptisms marriages etc being in Foleshill for Keresley residents. Also Elizabeth being born at Bodcarey? Warwickshire is almost certainly a bad transcription for Keresley I would say.

I live in Keresley village, can I help? It was very scarceley populated prior to 1927, and even then it didnt really take off until the extra pit houses were built in the 50's. By the way, there is a church in Keresley but I dont know how long its been there. Doesn't look too new.
