Nick,

You are most welcome.  If I can be of any help with any of Ada's siblings just let me know.

I think that this may be Beatrice in 1901.

34 North Ormesby Road, Middlesbrough

Humphrey Foreman     Head                   Mar    68     Gardner           born Newmarket, Cambridgeshire
Mary R Foreman           Wife                    Mar    68     Fruiterer          born Newmarket, Cambridgeshire
Charley Foreman          Son                     S       45     Gardner           born Newmarket, Cambridgeshire
Kate M Foreman        Dau                        S       27     Shop Assistant (Fruiterer) Newmarket
Beatrice A Foreman   Grand daughter     S       21     Domestic ?                          Born Boosebeck Yorks

RG13, 4575, 156, 47

I think that Beatrice may have married in 1902 because there is a marriage in Middlesbrough in that year.

I need to get ready for work, so will look for her sister later on today, when I get home.

Best Wishes

Nick,

Here is Ethel Maud in 1901.

28 Westward Street, Middlesbrough

Robert Sigsworth      Head Widr   47  Railway Guard   Born Leeds, Yorks
Jos Sigsworth           Son     S       20  Shoe ?               Born Middlesbrough
Arthur Sigsworth      Son     S       18  Ship Plater        Born Middlesbrough
Edgar Sigsworth       Son     S       13                            Born Middlesbrough
Florence Sigsworth  Dau     S         6                            Born Middlesbrough
Ethel M Foreman   Serv    S        20 Dom Servant     Born Middlesbrough

RG13, 4577,  69, 37

There is a record of a marriage between an Ethel M Foreman and a John W Skelton in Middlesbrough in 1912, I don't know whether this is your Ethel or not.

If you would like help with any of Ada's siblings just post the details and I will willingly try to find them in census records for you.

Best Wishes

Good afternoon !

Welcome back and many thanks for Ethel's details. I think the marriage you spotted may very well be her in fact.

There is one sibling you may be able to help with:

George WRIGHT (I think he was in fact George Goldsbrough WRIGHT, Goldsbrough being his mother's maiden name) born Osmotherley 1860.

He appears, aged 30, in the 1891 Census - I presume still a batchelor - in the household of his sister and brother-in-law William & Martha SIMPSON in West Hartlepool, occupation: Shipyard Labourer.

I have a note in my files that he married a Jane Elizabeth RUTHERFORD, but haven't been able to find them yet, nor do I have anything on Jane other than her name.

If he was single in 1891, maybe he was married by 1901 ??

If you have any ideas..............!!

Thanks again for all your invaluable help to date.

Just found the marriage for George & Jane in Hartlepool in 1898 !

I found I had been looking in North Yorkshire and hadn't modified the search button .

If you could perhaps find them in 1901, maybe still in Hartlepool ?

Nick,

I think that this is George Wright in 1901.

3 Union Place, West Hartlepool

George Wright    Head   Mar   38     Engineer Shop Labourer  born Osmotherley, Yorkshire
Jane E Wright     Wife     Mar   26    born Bellerby, Westmorland
Robert E Wright   Son                2    born West Hartlepool, Durham

RG12, 4640, 213,  54

If I can be of any further help, just let me know.

Best Wishes

Good evening cjl,

Would it be too much to ask if you could find Robert Humphrey FOREMAN in the 1901 Census please ?

You found him in 1891, aged 13, at the Castle Howard Reformatory School in Welbury, Yorks.

As I now have Beatrice and Ethel in 1901 it would be useful to complete the picture with their elder brother if possible.

Many thanks,

Nick
