I have Jane Morris married to Nelson Morris sep 1879 in southwark i think this is them ..The 1901 census at Andrews place Lambeth gives there ages as 46 and 38 ..In 1881 at 34 duke st southwark they are 30 and 40 . Can somebody look them up in earlier census and see if there ages tally , and if they can be found with parents and any other info on them please , Nelson was a builders Labourer..Any info would help.

Hi, The original of 1881 needs a closer look.
Going by the other census she was only 16 when she got married, why would she then wait 8 years for her first child? Just a thought!

Hi, You were lucky to have a name like Nelson to trace as this stood out. Jane Read is a different kettle of fish.
I think you will have to invest in their marriage certificate if you want to trace her family. Unless you have her father's name and occupation from another source?

I now have wedding certificate for Jane Read from sept 14th 1879 . Her father was William Read a Dealer . Interesting as it gives there address as 10 King and Queen St probably Walworth . Nobody on wedding certificate could sign there name
Witness was a Mary Ann Read .
Can somebody do a lookup for William Read 1881 and earlier , need family details ..
