trying to find a marriage

I am beginning to think this family marriage never happened. My info is slack it may have been in Chelsea between 1924 and 1930 Herbert Henry Robertson married Ella Kathleen Livingstone she was either a widow or divorcee her maiden name was Shepherd. I can find no record of this at all which is a concern to us all family wise. Has anyone any ideas?

Ella was born 1898

Births December qtr 1898 

Ella Kathleen SHEPHERD Eastry  2a 967

Marriages March qtr 1918 
Ella K Shepherd to Colin G  Livingstone  St.Geo.H.Sq.  1a 1106

No death for Colin on freebmd and nothing on the CWGC website so possible they divorced

Freebmd transcriptions are incomplete once you reach the 1930's - have you searched the full GRO index?

There is no marriage on the newly alphabeticised GRO marriage for England and Wales, but the marriage may have taken place elsewhere.

My reference above to the full GRO index was for a death for Colin Livingstone - I didn't make that very clear in my reply

However - they did marry but she re-married as Shepherd

Ella K Shepherd to  Henry H Robertson December qtr 1936

That would indicate more likely a divorce not the death of a first husband.
