Missing death - Edward TYERS
« on: Saturday 23 May 09 19:57 UTC (UK) »

I am struggling to find a death record for Edward Tyers. He was born in Kings Langley in 1833/34 and spent most of his life living and working in Nash Mills.

In the 1901 census he has moved to Denmark Street, Watford. He still appears to be alive in March 1905. On his wife's death certificate she is listed as "Wife of Edward Tyers" no mention of him being deceased although the death was not registered by him.

I have searched the Death index up to 1933 and cannot find a death for him.
He does not appear to be listed on the 1911 census. As he spent all his live in this one area, I can't imagine that he went far after 1905 as he would have been in his sixties and his son lived in Watford too.

I would be grateful if anyone has access to Burial registers or any other local sources for Watford that may help to locate his death. Any help or advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for looking.

I went down the route of the one in Portsmouth - it seemed like an unlikely location but it was the closest one I could find. I ordered the death certificate and the occupation didn't fit and there were no other relatives details given on the certificate so I don't think it is the one.

Other suggestions appreciated.
