Searching For Ancestors

Hi,
I'm currently going through the brick wall phase on this family line I'm having the hardest time to track down details for Parents of a Mary Isabella Holmes born in QLD born in 1868.
Her parents Names are
James Albert Holmes & Catherine Davis
Haven't been able to find death records in the following states NSW & QLD for them both or find a Marriage Certificate in QLD the above names are all I know besides James was a Painter.
If any one can help that would be great

Catherine HOLMES aged 81 at Lake Bolac in 1922 #5804 no parents names given and nothing remotely matching JAmes Albert.

Hi J,
I think you may have solved the mystery but may have added more illusion to the mystery, as I can't find immigration records or a marriage for James Albert Holmes & Catherine Davis,
Thanks I hadn't thought of him dying early explains why there are no more children born after 1876

Qld Certificates do contain a lot of information
If you were able to purchase the birth certificate of Catherine Agnes Holmes born in 1875 to James Albert Holmes and Catherine Davies. She died at 1 month of age
you should get where and when the parents were born an also married

I Have Mary Isabella Holmes' Marriage Certificate where both parents are noted as being alive and her husbands his father was deceased from the NSW BDM.
