Hi
Looking for a Margret Watson who married a Robert Forsyth.  I only know of one child of theirs my great grandfather Emanuel John  born Hull but feel they would have had more.
They were both born early 1810?

When was Emanuel born? Have you a cert? or was it too early?
Have you found the family on a census?

I can see a 21 yr old Emanuel Forsyth on 1851 at HO107 2364 57 12, but he is with parents William and Elizabeth.

Yes I have his certificate he was born in 1855 I think he must have been the last or nearly last child,
I have only been able to find him on the latter census' when he is married so any earlier ones would be great

When/who did he marry?
Having trouble finding anything in him!!!!

Where did the yr of birth for his parents come from? Have you found christenings for them, or have you found them on a census.

  I too am having problems.

I found the birth but the names Robert Forsyth & Margaret Watson sound very Scottish to me. I wonder if they moved to England. It's a thought I suppose

When did he marrry? where? who?
Which census after marriage have you found him on? Ref?
Where did info about parents yr of birth come from?

We are itching to help if we can, but so far we are struggling to get any sightings of him other than birth index.

Emanuel John was born in Hull in 1855
married Jane A Haselwood in 1887 in Hull
Still living in Roper St right up to 1911
On 1891 and 1901 and 1911 census
Parents name came from Birth Certificate
That's about as much as I know

Sorry we are bering such a pain, Normsy, but I for one still cant get a sighting!

I cant see the marriage for starters.
Nor can I see an Emanuel and Jane on 1891 - have you got the ref?

oooh just seen your posting Wendy - perhaps we've got there.
Though a 9 yr old child suggests an earlier marriage than 1887, or a previous marriage.
