Thomas Thomas b1811

my great x5 grand father Thomas Thomas b1811 Eglwywrw, Pembrokeshire. Can someone look up his birth please and let me know his parents (I have Thomas and Mary but not confirmed).

I have this info on his marriage, but Ive not seen the marriage cert. myself: Thomas Thomas dec qtr 1837 Cardigan vol 27 pg 51 with Margaret Owen on the same page.
Cardigan registration district covered Nevern.

Any info would, as always, be greatfully received.

I found 2 marriages on the Fiche i have.Pre 1813 on give the year.

Afraid its take you pick time.

Thomas Thomas & Mary Davies, 1805.

Or

Thomas Thomas & Mary David , 1807

Both married at Eglwywrw.

Thanks for that. do marriage certs. give any info on the parents. as i know Thomas Thomas b1811 married Margaret Owen dec qtr 1837 in cardigan. would that confirm his parents as Thomas Thomas b1774ish and Mary.......?

(it really helps that there are soo many Thomas Thomas' in my tree)

On the marriage cert it will give both Dads names.

Did`nt have much imagination with names did they ?

I`ve got James James`s,Edward Edward etc.

Have now got the marriage certificate. Thomas Thomas and Margaret Owen married 12 October 1837. Thomas Thomas was licing in Postgwyn, Eglwswrw, Pembrokeshire and she was living in Berdan (looks like). His father is confirmed as Thomas Thomas and its him id like to trace as thats the furthest back ive been able to go.

I have found 3 possible marriages.

June 10th 1816.
Thomas Thomas & Martha James at Monington.

April 8th 1814.
Thomas Thomas & Anne Lewis at Nevern

March 16th 1813.

Thomas Thomas & Anne Davies at Whitchurch.

If you look on the map,these places are all close to each other.

Have you found any Thomas Thomas`s on the census ?

Been looking at the census records, can find them on 1841 but what i really need is earlier, 1831 would be good but doesnt appear to be one.

Hi Adam

There were census for 1831 but it only gave address,name of Head of house & x amount of males & females,know names for them.

I have some for Hastings but not any for Pembrokeshire .



You could phone Haverfordwest Record Office & ask if they have the Land Tax Assessments for the place you Thomas`s were living.
