Hi Anthony
Found these on Family Search 1881 census. Ages fit to be sons of Hannah Pearson ??
But no Ann as a wife to any.??
The only William c 1838-42 found.

Hi Anthony
Just been looking up Brough Hill, this takes it name from a popular spot south of Brough, Cumbria where Drovers annually sold their horses, sheep and cattle but most of all Fell ponies which came to be known as "Brough Ponies". It is possible that your Pearson family could be Drovers possibly Travellers or Gypsies etc..
Just 6 miles east of Brough is the English-Scottish Border so another possibility is that the Pearson family could have originated from the Scottish Borders, working in and around Cumbria, Lancashire, Northumberland and Scottish Borders. Do you know what John Pearson's occupation was???
Having difficulty finding any of them in any areas.

Hi Anthony
I am a Genes Reunited member and have found what appears to be William and Joseph listed, I have contacted the member to see if they are your W & J, will let you know when the reply comes back.
What I can say is that this member has a Joseph Pearson born Brough Hill, Cumbria 1835. The same member has a William Pearson born Oldham 1840, would be a coincidence if they are not yours!!!
Off to bed now - peepers are sleepy!!

hi
i do not know who ann pearson is as hannah married a john pearson in 1833/34 we think in gretna green
john died in 1840/41 just after his son william was born in 1840/41 in dec
we found out last week that william had a big brother who wasborn in 1834/35 and died in 1834/35
it may be that ann pearson maybe a wife of a son that we do kont know of or hannah did not remarry
but had some more children

his father died in 1840/41
hannah and john may have married in gretna green i am wating fro info on this
as far as we know all of the pearson family were miners from cumbria some went to lancashire then to northeast
ie durham then to blaydon on tyne were i am from
found joseph pearson by chance he was born in 1833/34 hr died in same year
we do not know if there are more or not

Umh, this is what makes Family research interesting, looking for them!!!! frustrating yes, annoying very.
Still no reply from my GR contact.

Gretna Green records will be in Scotland, now they can be difficult to access, will have a look around for you.
Just seen your post re Miners, now I have some info on Miners in the North East will have a look for it and post it on RC, you can search for Miners by name. This family most certainly moved around. Was there a Mine Works in Brough, Cumbria??
By the way what relation is Hannah and John to you??
My eldest dau lives at Tynemouth, 600 mtrs from the beach, a beautiful place.

She has been researching this family for the past 12 years!!!
The surname of Tweddell - Tweddle - Tweddall - Tweedale - Twydale - ETC, so confusing, with different dialects the name would sound differently to those writing it down.
Will contact you when I get a message back from my GR member.

Miners, have you found any family members on the mines sites as workers???
Was any of the other links of any use??
Have you got the marriage details yet for Hannah and John, ie date etc..??
It does appear from that list at Gretna Green that alot of Tweddle and Pearson married there, just a pity you have to pay to have each set of documents- even for the date.
Not done any info gathering, been unwell. 
What would you like me to try and find for you now???
