Has anyone information on Frances M Tweddall or Tweddell married Thomas W Houfe Dec Q 1925 Thirsk.
Only possible birth I can find is Frances Mary Tweddell Mar Q 1900 Teesdale.
Any confirmation or other and any census for her family would be appreciated.
The mother of Ths W Houfe born Auckland, Mar Q 1904 was Eliza Tweddall / Tweddell born Sep Q 1875 Auckland, Durham. Father Arthur Thomas Houfe, Huntington, York and Riccall. I have birth and census details for parents but not for Ths W Houfe for 1911 and family.

The only candidate for the girl whose birth you found that I can see in the 1901 census is
(and a free search of the 1911 census index suggests that she's indeed Frances Mary, now living in Thirsk district)

hi i have a hannah tweddle she married a john pearson in cumberland
they had 2 sons
joseph pearson he died young
william pearson born in 1840/41 dec
john died in 1841 hannah moved to allendale to her mothers we can not fine out any info on her from then on
i am looking for tweddle family members

Hi Anthony
The possibility is that Hannah remarried before the 1851 census. Have you looked for a marriage with her married surname not her maiden surname??? Also try and find her two sons and her mother on the 1851 census, see where that takes you. Could be possible that she moved out of the area, have you tried with all three of them elsewhere on 1851 census??? I have found that some of my Hall Clan are missing on the 1851 census for certain parts of Norfolk, but I know they were there due to baptisms and marriages of family members around same time.
Just getting my dau ready for Uni on Saturday, will have a look for you after then.

Can you provide details of parents for Hannah Tweddle??
How sure are you of the spelling of Tweddle?? Could it have been Twedale/Tweddal etc.??
Have you got Baptisms/DOB for Joseph & William??
Where were they born??
Any marriage details for William Pearson or Census details?? Have you followed him through all the census's, could his mother Hannah, have ended up living with him, especially after her mother died??
Where did John Pearson die??? Do you know what his occupation was???
With SO MANY Tweddle and Pearson it is difficult to find info without some other basic info to work alongside with.
As you will see from my different spellings of Tweddall/ell it is difficult to trace the surname with total accuracy when it could have been mis-spelt.

joseph pearson was born in 1834/35 at brough hill that is were john pearson lived and were joseph died in 1834/35
william was born in oldham lancashire in 1840/41 (dec)
do not know of hannahs mother/father
john and hannah married in 1833/34 in cumbria/cumberland
hannah was born in 1816 in cumbria/ cumberland

william pearson born in oldham 1m old in 1841 on census it has him born in northumberland

Just picked up your messages.
Have you got any birth or marriage or death certificates for any of these?? If Hannah Tweddle is your Great Grandmother etc., it would be worthwhile obtaining her marriage certificate to see if it has her fathers name on and details of her husband. Again the death certificate of her husband would give his cause of death and probably give you his home address and his wife's details, possibly his occupation. Also the birth certificate for William would be helpful when it can be established where he was born.
Remember many many years ago folk could not read or write, so the downside to this illiteracy is that the spelling of names could not be checked. Ages, well again folk did not celebrate birthdays, it was a task just getting by from year to year, usually marked by the seasons of each year Winter, Spring, Summer & Autumn, so age did not matter to them. Born at or Birth Place are different to Baptised at. Folk forgot simple details due to their difficult lives. 
1891 cen info you have posted, this could be your Hannah Pearson nee Tweddle and Head could be her daughter in law Ann also a widow.
Ann Pearson born c 1840-41. She could be Widow of one of Hannah's sons possibly William. If this is your Hannah Pearson then she did not remarry, unless after 1891 cen aged 75 + ., also she was born 1816 and 75 yrs on 1891 cen then these two do add up together.
You mentioned before of Hannah on 1851 cen with her mother, what was her name and who else was listed and where??.
Will look for a marriage of William Pearson to Ann
I will make a start and see what I can find for you now there is a bit more info to go on.
