Hi

I'm trying to find details of 2 marriages for a relative:

Alfred Noble (born abt1891) & Conlin both married? abt1910.

Also

Edith Wate (born abt1890) & Smith both married? abt1914.

Have you mistaken the Noble forename?  I can see a birth for Alfred C Noble June Qu 1912 Sunderland mother's maiden name Conlin, so a possible marriage would be
Mar 1911   Sunderland  10a   807 
CONLIN    Winifred    and on same page  NOBLE  Robert    

This marriage also appears on the site justmej gave

Similarly, I can see births for Edith M Smith 1916, also a Roland Smith 1913 and Gladys M Smith 1919 all Sunderland and all with mother's maiden name WATE -

this points to a marriage around 1912 or earlier, and the only one I can see between a SMITH and a WATE is
Mar 1899  Sunderland    10a   817
SMITH William     and on same page  WATE  Margaret Ann         

This marriage again is on the Sunderland registrars site - you can download the certificate application forms from there to post to them to order the certs.

There is a birth for Edith WATE in 1890, but can't see a marriage for her to a Mr Smith

Hi Barbara,

I was looking for an Alfred (C) Noble as the father of Alfred C Noble b1912, as their generation lists repeats this as a major family name. Yet I can not pick up an Alfred noble within that generation anywhere esp. married to a Conlin.... not expecting then to find Robert Heslop Noble who I did know about, as the father.

Thank you very much, the information relates to my Daughter-in Laws family and I am trying to complete this data to fill out my Grandaughters heritage.

I went to your website earlier and was amazed at your successful family tree, I went off for a minute or two and have not been able to get on since. I will continue to try, thanks very much for your help. I will get in touch for the marriage certificate when I have added the details to my tree which is a lot smaller than yours.
