Looking for photograph of old North Hykeham primary school
« on: Tuesday 30 June 09 10:30 UTC (UK) »

I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm trying to source a photograph of the old primary school in North Hykeham (on School Lane - now the Park School Day Nursery), as it would have appeared when my parents attended there in the 1950s. Does anyone know if there is a photograph archive covering North Hykeham or similar?

Is there a Local Education authority who might respond to an email?

Worth trying as they could well have archived material.

I checked the Francis Frith site ... zilch !     http://www.francisfrith.com/lincolnshire/

also the Geograph site ... ditto zilch !    http://www.geograph.org.uk/

... but they are both good sources (usually) of photos ...

I think you could do a lot worse than contact Wendy Parkinson, who must be the Hykeham expert- http://wparkinson.com/Hykeham/index.htm
