Hi,
Robert Campbell (b 1840 Cramlington) and Mary Ann Campbell (b 1847) arrived in Victoria on "Lusitania" in September 1887.
They also had five children: Margaret Ellen (b 1867), John (b 1869), Thomas (b 1870), Jane (b 1876), Robert (b 1878) and Mary Ann (b 1880) - all born Northumberland, England.
The only other info that I know is that Robert Campbell died in NSW in 1912.
I would be very interested to know anything more about this family, where they settled, who the children married, and dates of death - if possible.

Found a few things for you to kick things off 
Since Campbell is a not-so-rare surname, I'll go back a few steps to establish some key indicators.
1881 Census:
============
Robert CAMPBELL, age 41, b. Cramlington Northumberland,
Occ: Coal Miner; residing in Pegswood Northumberland.
Living with wife Jane A. (!) age 39, born Benton Sq. Northumberland.
and kids:
* Elizabeth Campbell 16
* Margaret E. Campbell 15
* John Campbell 12
* Thomas Campbell 10
* Robert Campbell 3
* Mary A. Campbell 1
* Jane A. Campbell 5
1871 Census:
============
Wife is Jane Ann, born in Longbenton, Northumberland.
Living in Cramlington. Kids are:
* Mary Ann Campbell 8
* Elizabeth Campbell 6
* Margaret Ellen Campbell 4
* John Campbell 2
* Thomas Campbell 11 months
... so looks like Robert had at least 8 kids rather than 5.
The older ones might well have stayed in England?
1861 Census:

Now we find Robert Campbell's parents!
Father: Joseph (also a coal miner),
and Mother: Mary.
NSW BDM index:

Going to this index, we see 3 x Robert Campbells who died in 1912.
This one has the correct parents (well, parent):
13006/1912 CAMPBELL ROBERT JOSEPH H --- WALLSEND
... so now we know Robert's death was registered in Wallsend, NSW.
Incidentally, I read in Wikipedia that Wallsend had strong ties with coal mining. Not only that, there's a Wallsend in Northumberland too!

So I find this record that seems to fit best:

living with parents & siblings in Cramlington.
Father: Thomas Wanless, age 37, Coal Miner
Mother: Mary Wanless, age 39
Siblings:

* Jane A Wanless 9
* Alice Wanless 6
* Mary Wanless 2

Had a look for his wife here, but didn't have any luck.
Could it be that Robert remarried at some point at all, given that you knew his wife to be Mary Ann not Jane Ann? (Unless she called herself Mary).
You might like to review what I've said here yourself, just to make sure you're on the right track.
At least you could also now buy Robert's death cert (or a transcription) that might have more clues :*)

Well, I want to say d'oh! 
Firstly, I just noticed in your little footer that you've got the name WANLESS there already, so I suspect you may already know about Jane.
Secondly, did a little Google search for Robert -- amazing what comes up.

... that's not you asking the question by any chance is it??
In case not, there's two whole pages on your family & a lady there who says she has lots of info on the Campbells. And my hunch about Robert marrying twice appears correct, there you go.
So anyway I'll stop having this party by myself (just joking, this type of thing is very cathartic, esp when I have hit so many brick walls with my tree & I'm so in the mood for research  )

O yay!! So juicy when we get to move forward in looking "backward", isn't it 
Will cross my fingers for you that the lady on that page has some great things to share with you.
Actually -- I forgot to mention, do try another google search; I think there's a similar page on the same site that mentions something about where Thomas ended up at least...?
Reckon you'll probably end up with some new leads soon to find out about the kids anyway.

There are 81 enrolments for James CAMPBELL in 1903 in NSW, but this is the only one for Wallsend.
