Greetings
I would appreciate help in moving my search for details of Lawrence Humphrey Purton 1908 forward
I KNOW
He was born almost certainly in Canada 1908.

He arrived in England from Burma May 25th 1939 an Army Officer

London Gazette April 1939 promoted a L H Purton to Captain in the Indian Army

A Lt Colonel L H Purton lived at Wolverhampton, Church Stretton and then Wells Norfolk. between 1950 and 1991

This LH PURTON died 1991

And advice on 0n Indian Army records in particular would be helpful

Thats wonderful and Ive already been to the library and ordered the book.
Early attempts to find a copy on sale have failed so far.
You have opened another door for us (my wife Jean and I)   Interestingly we are working for the first time down a half cousin line.
