Anyone have any Liverpool Luke McDONALDs?
« on: Friday 03 July 09 08:48 UTC (UK) »

Would be pleased if anyone is connected to any Liverpool Luke McDONALDs, especially one traced back to one born Ireland abt 1823. I'm wondering if he is a lost relative, who maybe the s/o Luke & Mary, or eliminate him from my enquiries.

The family may have split prior to the 1851 census since father Luke was in Tipton STS with other married children, while a Luke (24, Ireland) and his correctly named mother Mary were in 1851 Liverpool. Also present was a daughter Julia (17, Liverpool) not before known, and doesn't fit 1841 census data. Julia married PATTERSON or WILLIAMS in 1857. In 1861 Mary & son Luke (35) were still together.

Luke in Liverpool appears to have married Sarah McVEY in 1861, then after her death he apparently married Ann FAGAN of Liverpool. Fitting the right age, Luke MCDONALD (55) in 1881, Head of household at 21 Back of Bond St, Liverpool, was born in Ireland, including a new son Luke (c1870). In 1891 widowed Ann and Luke (20), a Dock Worker, were in the same street.

So anyone with Luke s/o Luke, s/o Luke in their tree?

Regards,
Mark
