Please can anyone date this & tidy & clean up G gran.

Hi clever people,

Here is a photo of the portrait of my G.Gran.  It was a photo that was coloured when I inherited it, so all I have done is frame it!

Can anyone please remove the patch caused by the flash, and tidy the old girl up a bit please.

However I tried to do this I still got that flash reflection.

Hiya Rabbit Smiley Not much there to date but she does seem to have kickups on the shoulders...perhaps 1889-1893 or so, is that feasable?

I hoped that you would pop up!! Grin Thanks for your answer!

According to the 1891 census she was born in1844 age varies a though from1842-1846 for birth!

It is too hot to dig out her birth certificate tonight!  It looks OK to me!

I will try and work it out tomorrow, but I have to get out of here or faint!

Too hot? In Oxfordshire??? Grin Grin

It looks like one of those photos that's been enhanced by painting over it, and Prue says those were popular during the 1890s, so the date would fit.

The lady has a lovely face, doesn't she.

Yes it is, Over 30 yesterday and going to be 32 today!   Shocked We are not used to it you see, couple of days like this then back to very cold! Roll Eyes

I was surprised that you thought that she had a lovely face,  I don't like that picture much, but it is the only one I have of her when younger!.

After some of the truly beautiful women that we have had on here, to be truthful I had doubts about posting this one!

Thanks for the dates and the info re painting, they confirm what I was told by my mother, we were only guessing you see.
