Hi All
I would be grateful if any of you could help me with the following:-
1891 census
140 Wood Street, Heath Town, Wolverhampton
Thomas Clarke 52 Builder born in Pendeford Amelia J Clarke 37 born in Leominster, Hereford Amelia J Clarke 13 ditto William Clarke 11 born in Wolverhampton Caroline Clarke 8 ditto Elizabeth Clarke 3 ditto Thomas Clarke 2 ditto
I have found a birth for a Eliza Caroline Clarke in o/n/d 1882, so I think that this may be her, I have a death for Amelia J Clarke (mother) in j/a/s 1895 aged 42, a possible christening for Thomas Clarke snr in Tettenhall on 1/9/1839, but would be grateful for some help on the marriage of Thomas and Amelia, Amelia's maiden name and also birth details and any clues for Thomas's parents and where in Pendeford he may have been living. I know that the Dovecote has been there for a while and that it was mainly farmland, but any info will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks :-)

Many, many thanks to you all for this information, I will look through it tonight and tomorrow, it is my nan's family and she said that she remembers her nan being called Jinny or Jenny so I guess that that would be a 3rd wife! I have had some problems with death records as there seems to be a lot missing from ancestry ( I've just re-newed for a year half price!!) do you have other sites that will fill in the gaps in years? Once again many thanks this really helps! :-)

I have spoken to my nan again and she does not think that I have the right family as she only know of the mother called Jenny or Jinny and four children: William Clarke Fanny Clarke Elizabeth Clarke Thomas Clarke and she remembers Jinny/Jenny dying in 1928/30 and her grandad dying around the same time but she does not know what his name was. I have ordered the wedding certificate of Thomas so I can check the name of the father. Can any of you find a Jinny or Jenny? Many thanks
